The National Weather Service cancelled our advisory a little early this evening. A few flurries or light snow showers will be possible overnight, but only adding up to an inch or less.
This weekend looks beautiful. Look for sunny skies and temperatures in the 30s. The next storm will be coming Monday night and Tuesday. Look to my previous blog for more on this. Have a good night and a good weekend everyone!

We had our fair share of snow today, but unfortunately for all you snow-haters out there, there is more snow on the way tonight. The winter weather advisory has been extended until 4am Saturday morning as more snow and possible mixed precipitation will work it’s way through. This precip is located over Indiana and Western Ohio late this afternoon. Only expect an additional 1 to 3 inches, but that will be enough to make everything out there slick again, so if you will be venturing out this evening, use extra caution.
The weekend looks great, even into Monday with the sun returning and temperatures in the 30s. Monday night and Tuesday is a different story.
Models are coming into agreement that the low pressure area, currently centered over the open waters of the Pacific Ocean near Hawaii will slam ashore California tomorrow and then make its way across the country. It will move over the eastern part of the country Monday and into Tuesday. There is some good news though with this storm, it appears that the temperatures will be warm enough Tuesday for all rain in the afternoon. Monday night and Tuesday night, with the cooler temperatures will be tricky determining the type of precip that falls: whether it is snow, rain and snow, freezing rain, or sleet. This will have to be determined as we get closer to the time.
For now, stay safe tonight. I saw an accident on the Madison Ave. Expressway this afternoon, so things are slippery out there still, especially if we get some more snow this evening. Enjoy the start of your weekend!

Well, our storm did bring us a couple inches of snow overnight. There has been a lull in the action this morning, but later this afternoon the precipitation will begin again. It may be warm enough that we will see some sleet and/or freezing rain, but any ice accumulations will be less than a tenth of an inch. After sunset, all precip will change back to all snow with an additional 1 to 2 inches possible.
The way to school was a little messy this morning, and the roads may still be slippery and snow-covered. Use extra caution this afternoon and allow some extra time to reach your destination. Also, a winter weather advisory remains in effect until 7pm for all the non-lakeshore counties of Northeastern Ohio. Stay safe everyone!!!
