Below Average Temps

Posted by ns62590 on April 28, 2008

We got a lot of the rain out of Mother Nature’s system today, but she has some more in store for the overnight hours as temperatures drop to around 37 degrees. For your Tuesday, there will only be a slight chance of an afternoon shower. The big story tomorrow will be, however, the cold, below normal temperatures. Highs won’t even reach the 50 degree mark, and should top out at 47 degrees. Even if we don’t see any rain, skies will remain mostly cloudy for the day. A nice warm-up is expected towards the end of the week and the weekend, so that should be something to look forward to. Until then, have a good Tuesday everyone!

Nice Sunday Setting Up

Posted by ns62590 on April 26, 2008

After a brief shot of rain this afternoon, everything is setting up for a beautiful evening and a nice Sunday. However, it is going to be a cold night, with temperatures dropping down to about 41 degrees. Your Sunday will feature sunny skies to start, with a few clouds as the afternoon progresses. Highs will be near 67. Clouds will build in Sunday night ahead of another storm system, which will bring the chance of rain overnight Sunday into Monday morning. Until then, have a great Sunday!!!!

Only a Small Chance

Posted by ns62590 on April 26, 2008

Always one bright side of having a lot of nice weather in a row means when a storm system does come through, the air is mostly stable, and the precipitation weakens. That being said, the cold front that is moving through the area is “moisture-starved,” meaning there isn’t a lot of rain with it. So therefore, there will only be a small chance of a passing shower this morning and afternoon, but the chance is still there. Otherwise, we will see partly cloudy skies with a high near 76 degrees. Have a good Saturday.

Overnight Rain Possible

Posted by ns62590 on April 25, 2008

We escaped with yet another beautiful day in the Mahoning Valley even though there were some clouds. However, a strong storm system currently bringing severe weather to the Chicago area will be moving eastward towards our area tonight, and should overspread us with some showers and thunderstorms. While the severe threat will be diminished from what it is now across the western Great Lakes, we may see an isolated severe cell overnight. The rain will be all over by Saturday afternoon, so enjoy the day, and have a great night!

Scattered Rain

Posted by ns62590 on April 25, 2008

After a wonderful weather week, your Friday will feature the chance for rain and a few thunderstorms. No severe weather is anticipated at this time. There will be some scattered showers this morning, with maybe an embedded thunderstorm, then a few pop-up showers and thunderstorms remain possible this afternoon, before another round of more likely showers and thunderstorms arrive overnight and into Saturday morning. Your Friday highs will be near 76 degrees. Have a good day.

Sunny and Rather Warm

Posted by ns62590 on April 23, 2008

Well, a few areas had some spotty rain and a few rumbles of thunder this afternoon, but for the most part it was a very nice day. For those of you who like it a little warmer, tomorrow will be your day. Under sunny skies, highs will approach 80 degrees, but we should top out just below that, at 78. Friday into Saturday will feature the chance of some rain, so you will want to stay up on the latest forecasts. Until then, enjoy the rest of tonight as well as your Thursday.

Small Chance of Rain

Posted by ns62590 on April 22, 2008

Yet another beautiful day was on our menu today, and we will see another tomorrow. Wednesday’s highs will be near 72 degrees, under partly cloudy skies. However, there will be the chance of an isolated thunderstorm during the afternoon or evening hours, but by no means an all day washout. Many places will stay dry and the percentage chance of rain tomorrow is only 30. The next decent chance of rain will appear on Friday, and a more unsettled pattern is possible into next week. But until then, enjoy the sun and have a great Wednesday.

Pleasant Weather Continues

Posted by ns62590 on April 21, 2008

While your Monday featured a mix of sun and clouds, Tuesday’s weather will be “picture perfect” for us here in the Mahoning Valley. We will begin the day near 51 degrees under sunny skies. As the afternoon rolls on, a few fair weather clouds are expected to allow for the highs to reach near 72 degrees. There will be a slight chance for some rain on Wednesday, and again on Friday, but all-in-all, a wonderful week is forecast, so get out and enjoy the spring weather!!! For those going to YSU tomorrow to see John McCain, have a great time.

Decent Week Ahead

Posted by ns62590 on April 20, 2008

Well, we actually saw a few peeks of sunshine out there today, so with the rain we had last night, it wasn’t too bad today. For your Monday, the pleasant weather will return as sunny skies will be on the menu with temperatures in the mid 60s. There will be a chance for some rain or thunderstorms Wednesday this week, but at this time it doesn’t appear it will be anything too terrible, but we will monitor the latest. Enjoy your Monday as we begin yet another work week.
