It sure will not feel like summer tomorrow as temperatures will only be in the upper 60s. There will be the chance of some afternoon showers and isolated storms but nothing major is expected. After tomorrow, we should see a couple nice days in there this week as temps warm up a little. Have a great Monday.

Scattered Storms Again
Posted by ns62590 on June 29, 2008
While the majority of the severe weather pounded those north and south of the Mahoning Valley yesterday, there is still the threat of some scattered showers and storms today, a few of which may be severe, but a huge outbreak is not expected. Todays highs will be in the mid 70s, so enjoy it if you can.

MODERATE RISK of Severe Storms
Posted by ns62590 on June 28, 2008
The Storm Prediction Center in Norman Oklahoma has placed our entire area under a MODERATE risk of severe weather this afternoon and evening. There is a SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH in effect through 8pm this evening. Please use extra caution late this afternoon and evening as these storms have the potential to produce large hail and strong winds over 70 mph. Stay tuned to your local TV media and other news sources for the latest on this potentially dangerous afternoon.

Severe Possible Tomorrow
Posted by ns62590 on June 28, 2008
Of all the days of scattered severe weather we have seen this week, tomorrow seems to be the day where severe weather will be the most concentrated. We will definitely have to watch what happens tomorrow, so be alert for the latest from the National Weather Service. I won’t be able to get an update out until late afternoon. Have a good but safe day.

Scattered Storms
Posted by ns62590 on June 26, 2008
With a lot of instability out there this afternoon, the atmosphere is fired up and scattered thunderstorms are beginning to form throughout the state. Since they are scattered about, not everyone will get them. However, those storms that are out there have the potential to produce large hail, strong winds, and heavy rain. Stay safe should you be caught in any of the storms.

Unsettled Period
Posted by ns62590 on June 25, 2008
We are under the slight risk for severe thunderstorms the next 4 days as the jet stream is right over northern Ohio. As impulses move over this, the threat of severe weather is present. Today’s severe threat is rather small, and won’t occur until late this afternoon and tonight if at all. For the majority of your Wednesday it will be very pleasant with temperatures in the low 80s. Enjoy it!

Tremendous Tuesday
Posted by ns62590 on June 24, 2008
After the last 3 days of storms and rain, your Tuesday looks to be a picture perfect summer day. Highs will be in the upper 70s with sunny skies and low humidity. Since that is about perfect, I won’t talk about anything depressing in the forecast, and leave it as that. Enjoy the wonderful weather for your Tuesday!!!

Another Severe Day Tomorrow Possible
Posted by ns62590 on June 22, 2008
We have had two days in a row with some severe weather and storms, and tomorrow will be more of the same. The day will begin sunny and will allow storms to fire up in the afternoon. The atmosphere will be suitable for some of the storms to become severe. The threat will be widespread just like today. Highs on your Monday will be near 79 degrees.

Isolated Cells
Posted by ns62590 on June 22, 2008
With impulses working on a trough of low pressure is causing numerous showers and thunderstorms to pop up across northern Ohio this afternoon. Some of the storms have turned severe with hail reported, and I even saw a tornado warning for summit county. While its hard to pinpoint who will get a certain storm and when, the whole area is favorable for the development of storms, so stay alert to the skies. A severe thunderstorm watch is up for the area through 8pm this evening. There may be a person seeing a storm with hail or winds and 10 miles away it can be sunny, so just stay alert to your area’s weather. Have a great afternoon.

Another Chance of Storms
Posted by ns62590 on June 21, 2008
We sure saw our fair share of severe weather today as both wind damage and hail were reported in the Youngstown area. There will be another chance of some thunderstorms tomorrow afternoon and evening as well. But until then, your overnight looks partly cloudy with temperatures around 60. Sunday’s highs will be in the mid 70s, so enjoy it.
