The Storm Prediction Center has placed our entire area under a 30% slight risk for severe thunderstorms today. While these probabilities are lower than this morning, we are still in the risk for severe weather. We will see a few showers this afternoon early but with daytime heating, storms should begin to develop later this afternoon across Indiana and western Ohio and work their way eastward over our area. The main threat with the severe weather will be damaging winds, but there will be the chance of a few tornado warnings to come out this afternoon. Note that the SPC updates their outlooks every 5 hours on their day 1 outlooks, so as the day goes on, they may lower or raise our severe threat, so be alert for this. We will keep you updated.
