Hurricane Norbert came ashore near Puerto Charley around 1230 pm Eastern time (930am Pacific) as a category 2 hurricane with winds of 105 mph. There were some reports of damage as the storm came through. Currently as of 11pm ET (8pm Pacific), the storm was about to make a second landfall over mainland Mexico, and is a category 1 storm with winds of 85 mph.
In the Atlantic Basin, there are two areas of disturbed weather that are being monitored. One is over the Lesser Antilles and the other is about 1600 miles east of the Antilles in the Central Atlantic. Both areas are under some shear, but could slowly develop over the next few days, and we will monitor them for you.
