A winter weather advisory is in effect from noon through 10pm Tuesday as a system from the south will spread a mix of precipitation into the region. It will be an interesting afternoon, as the precipitation should begin as a period of snow then change to sleet and freezing rain. If temperatures warm up enough during the late evening and overnight, some plain rain will be expected. Untreated roads and surfaces will become ice covered and slippery if the precipitation lasts long enough. Be careful on the way home from school and work on Tuesday.
